Celebrating #EnglishTourismWeek

This English Tourism Week, we're reflecting on how fortunate we are to be able to offer our residents the opportunity to live in some of the best locations the UK has to offer; we manage over 25 estates along the coast of England, boasting beautiful scenery and spectacular views.

Several of our managed estates are converted listed buildings or nestled around sites of special interest:

Stratford-upon-Avon

One of our estates is located in this historic town - the home of William Shakespeare - with attractions like Shakespeare's Birthplace, Anne Hathaway's Cottage and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Also nearby is HMP Shepton Mallet. When it closed in 2013, it had been the UK’s oldest operating prison, but now it is enjoyed as a popular tourist attraction.

Farnham

We manage a retirement estate in this idyllic Surrey town. The National Trust owns and preserves much of the breath-taking surrounding countryside and the centre has a bustling food & drink scene, as well as many historical buildings that can be explored such as a well-preserved 12th century castle and Parish Church. A few miles out also lies the ancient Waverley Abbey - a must see!

Winchester

Our estate in this historic city is surrounded by rich cultural history as the country’s first capital and home to past Kings and Queens. From castles and cathedrals, to museums, theatres, galleries and art festivals, Winchester has so much to offer.

Brighton & Hove

We're lucky to manage several estates in and around this popular seaside town, and its laid-back neighbour Hove - both have plenty of culture on tap. Brighton even boasts its own Foodies Festival each year - a cultural highlight.

We were pleased to see that many of our estate locations were included in the latest Sunday Times Best Places to Live feature which you can read here.
